The plan for Australia's new Country Music Hall of Fame has been put together by the Australian Country Music Foundation (ACMF). The ACMF will be looking at setting up major partnerships with Tamworth Regional Council and the NSW and Federal Governments to enable the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame to become a reality. Strategic alliances will be established with similar attractions, including the Stockmans’ Hall of Fame at Longreach and the proposed Slim Dusty Centre at Kempsey, together with regional, state and national tourism authorities. The new Australian Country Music Hall of Fame will be a substantial facility for Australian country music and another major attraction for Tamworth, Australia’s Home of Country Music. It’s certainly a big project, but one we believe is achievable. We will be working very hard over the next few years and look forward to the support of many thousands of people in the industry, government, media and general community to make it happen. |
