Australian Country Music Festivals

A changing exhibition highlighting major country music festivals in Australia. This year, we highlight the Bungendore Country Muster and Stan Coster Memorial Bush Ballad Awards and the South Australian Country Music Awards & Festival. How Tamworth became Country Music Capital

An exhibition established this year, on the 40th anniversary of the founding of Tamworth as Australia's Country Music Capital.

Channel 10 Theatrette

Also in the Smoky Dawson Room, we've set up a special theatrette with the support of major sponsor Channel 10. The Theatrette is established so visitors can view some of Australia's unique country music history. Highlights include an excerpt from the film Who Chased The Chicken starring Buddy Williams, a documentary on the life of Smoky Dawson, and the two television specials Slim Dusty, This Is Your Life.
